The KatKnap Story

Kat is a fourth generation fiber artist who started apprenticing under her mother at the age of 8.

A native of West Virginia, she moved to Berea KY in 2012, where she was inspired to use her background in fiber to enter the art scene. She has since adopted Tunisian crochet as her preferred medium since she found that it lends itself to tapestries, allowing her to stitch out vast scenes, one pixel at a time.

Kat is producing tutorials for various stitches and a shop of her completed works for anyone who is interested in learning or appreciateing the art.
